I LOVE THIS SLOVENIAN FOOD
I LOVE THIS SLOVENIAN FOOD / Ocvirki / Another must try Slovenian food
Hello once again, adjusting to food taste and recipes is one thing I hardly did too when I moved to Slovenia because Filipino food usually are more tasty I think or shall I say salty? And one Slovenian food compliment my tastebuds is Ocvirki because we also have this in the Philippines but just a little bit different. So here is how they do it, the simplest recipe because my mother in law prefers to put just salt and water, thats all. Here, they usually separate fat, meat and skin. So this one skin is already removed and so we just need to cut them into our preferred sized but usually it shrink once the fats are drained so better cut it bigger. Then we put them in this large pot and cook them until it gets brown and fats are all drained. YOu just need a strngth to mixed it for 30 to 40 minutes in slow to medium heat not to get it burned. After its done, cool it down for maybe another 30 mins before putting them in to a jar.
