MOTORCYCLE LIGHT KIT
LEDGlow Advanced Million Color LED Mini Motorcycle Lighting Kits illuminate your bike’s gas tank, frame rail, triple trees, and more with a spotless, multi-color glow courtesy of ultra-bright SMD LED tech housed in reduced-profile 4" mini strips. LED MOTORCYCLE LIGHTS CONTROL BOX
The waterproof Control Box is programmed with 15 Solid Color Modes, 2 Color Cycle Modes, 3 Flashing Modes, and 1 Fading Mode. Advanced Million Color Cycle Mode scrolls through an almost unlimited number of variations in the shading of each solid color. The Control Box has a compact, round design that measures 1-5/8" in diameter and 5/8" in height, making it easy to hide under the seat.
MOTORCYCLE LIGHTS INSTALLATION
Below you’ll find the recommended steps for installation. If you installed your kit differently or have any installation tips, let us know. Before getting started, test these underglow lights for trucks for full functionality using a 12-volt power source:
1. Mock up the location for each light strip. We recommend placing two strips under the gas tank, two strips on the rear frame rails, and two strips under the bottom of the frame.
2. Remove the seat to gain access to the battery compartment.
3. Use an alcohol prep pad to clean each mounting location.
4. Once the areas have dried, we also recommend applying an adhesion promoter to all of the mounting areas.
5. Once the adhesion promoter has dried, peel off the backing, firmly press the light strips onto the bike, and run the connector side of the wires to the battery compartment. Be sure to keep them away from any hot or moving parts.
6. Zip-ties may also be used to secure any strips to the bike’s frame rails. Be sure not to overtighten the zip ties as it could damage the strip which will void all warranties.
7. Repeat this process for the light strips on the opposite side of the bike.
8. Once all of the strips have been mounted, clean a flat portion of the battery compartment with an alcohol prep pad.
9. Install the control box onto the cleaned area using double-sided tape.
10. Attach the single connector side of the 6-piece wiring harness to the control box and plug each light strip connector into the opposite side of the harness.
11. To power the kit, start by attaching ring terminal connectors to the red and black wires from the control box.
12. Connect the black wire from the control box to the negative battery terminal, and connect the red wire to the positive battery terminal.
13. To enable the brake light feature that turns all of the lights on the bike red when the brakes are pressed, use a test light to locate the brake light harness wire that receives 12-volt power when the brakes are engaged.
14. Attach a t-tap wire connector to the brake light wire.
15. Then, attach a wire tap connector to the blue wire from the control box and insert it into the tap connector on the brake light wire.
16. Secure all the wires in the battery compartment using zip ties.
17. Then reinstall the seat.
18. Power the kit and verify that all of the strips are lit and working properly.
