This video goes through how I built my CNC enclosure to reduce dust and noise. I talk about the organization benefits, the actual noise measurements (and a bit about decibels), and the dust a CNC generates. Some sources to help you out: Foam soundproofing panels - amzn.to/2JqepRk (I found them for a few bucks less than I paid even) Foamular Insulation panels - thd.co/2FglelM (Note, these also work great for learning CNC or testing carves) Please let me know if you have questions or feedback. I didn't work off of plans...best I can say is it's a 3x3x3 foot cube. This article is incredibly helpful for soundproofing vs. sound absorbing (and is why I keep reiterating that the acoustic panels are not great at sound proofing) bit.ly/2peo3P6 To be clear, this design works well for sound dampening, and works excellent for organization and dust handling (those were my top 3 goals). This is the "Some Old Guy Coding" video from 2 years ago...I highly recommend his channel, as he gives in depth descriptions of his MPCNC journey. His enclosure gave me many ideas for my own, and I'm always learning a ton watching his videos. bit.ly/2Hq7eYM Thanks for watching! I'm working on getting an editing setup so I don't have to 'one take' these videos...I apologize for the pause when trying to find the build pics...I'm learning and working on it :) Next video should be Software stacks, and then I'll go into getting clean/clear text for sign making.
