Having problems moving a parent. The door pivot car transfer is a good way for a person with limited mobility but good upper body strength to transfer from a wheelchair to the car. This device takes advantage of s steel lateral transfer plate called a swivel. The person being transfer may even have no use of their legs. For this a gait belt is used to hold the legs together and the person being transferred grabs the lower door and pulls forward. This will result in a natural forward Pivot. They can then be simply rotated to the seat.
