I thought it would be good for you to know when you should quit your PhD, and look for other jobs. It’s often difficult to know whether you should continue with the doctoral program or not.

1. You have not done any work for more than several months on your research.
2. You keep lying to others that you have completed parts of your research project, but you have not.
3. You despise your research.
4. You have exhausted all possibilities to complete your research.
5. Other people have given you more than three chances to complete your work.
6. You have what other people describe as 1 months worth of work to complete, but you can’t see yourself completing it.
7. You do more odd jobs and teaching than completing your own research.
8. You have not written a research paper from start to finish by yourself. Your supervisor does the bulk of the work.
9. You have exhausted all of your allies in the PhD program.
10. You have gone through at least 3 supervisors because people are upset with your research productivity.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.

https://r3ciprocity.com: Peer proofreading and editing platform

A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.

The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.
