Advanced Cartographic Design - Lab 4, Part 1 – Denali National Park Swiss Hillshade

For this first part of Lab 4, I will cover setting up the project, and then using the Swiss Hillshade model in Model Builder to generate our base relief. We then look at making custom color ramps, and importing pre-made ramps using the Style Manager. After draping the original DEM of the hillshades, I go over building up layers to break the hypsometric tint and give the relief texture. Finally, we highlight the glaciers and show that a perfectly acceptable shaded relief can be produced in ArcMap. If you find this video helpful, please like it and subscribe to the channel. Thanks!
