So, SDA or strand displacement
So, SDA or strand displacement amplification is an amplification technique.
SDA method is widely used as an alternative to polymerase chain reaction.
So it detects both forms of nucleic acids targets that is... RNA and DNA.
The technique is isothermal ,its because the target amplification step takes place at one or we can say single temprature
And the method does not require a thermocycler.
The SDA is a two step process...
Ist step is the target generation...
And the second step is exponential target amplification... So, in this step, target which was generated in the first, is amplified exponentially.
The method itself uses two pairs of primers ....
And these primers are designed in such a way that they specifically recognize two regions im the target sequence.
