{TrueSound}™ Close Lightning + Loud Thunder during Thunderstorm over Coral Springs, Florida

Watch your ears! This is pretty loud!
Florida is the lightning capital of the US! Thunderstorms are usually a daily occurrence during the summer in South Florida. However, most of the time the storms moving in from the Everglades are farther south, and it never rains in Coral Springs. This past Labor Day, Coral Springs finally got some heavy rain and violent lightning, and BJG was happy to film some thunder and lightning with TrueSound™ technology. He had the camera inside filming through the window, while he stood outside with the microphone. This is a compilation of the loudest strikes. The sound from the final strike took less than half a second to reach our microphone, which means the lightning was less than 500 feet away! It hit something in the neighborhood and BJG's house lost power for a few moments!

The loudest one hits 66.15 on our sound scale!
