Jianshui County (建水县, Jiànshuǐ Xiàn),
Jianshui County (建水县, Jiànshuǐ Xiàn), located in the Honghe prefecture of Yunnan province, China, is a city with a rich historical background and serves as an important transportation crossroad. The county, which covers an area of 3,940 km², has a population of approximately 490,000. Historically known as Lin'an (临安) or Huili (惠历), Jianshui retains the name Lin'an Town for its county seat today.

Jianshui is renowned for its ancient architectural marvels and cultural heritage sites, including:
- **Chao Yang Lou (Old East City Gate)**: Originally known as Yinghuimen, this gate is located at the eastern end of Lin'an Road, southeast of the county town. It was built in the 22nd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1389).
- **Hutongs**: These 'old neighborhoods' feature cobbled streets and stone wells, offering a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle.
- **Temple of Confucius**: One of the largest Confucian temples in China, second only to the one in Qufu, Shandong, the hometown of Confucius.
- **Shuanglong Bridge (双龙桥, shuang long qiao)**: Also known as the Seventeen Span Bridge, this Qing Dynasty bridge is located five kilometers west of the town, at the confluence of the Minjiang River and the Luochong River.
- **Zhu's Garden**: A restored Qing Dynasty complex built by the Zhu brothers in the late Qing Dynasty, showcasing traditional homes and ancestral halls.
- **Ancient Buddhist Towers**: Including the notable Chongwen Tower.
- **Tuanshan Residence**: An ancient Yi village situated 13 kilometers west of Jianshui Ancient City.
- **The Swallow Cave**: Named for the large white-waisted swallows that nest in the cave, this natural wonder is located 22 kilometers east of Jianshui County.
