Machine Set-Up at the START of class:
- 1Y Spring ON (extra-light)
- Footbar Normal Upright (1-Click Forward) Position
- Headrest DOWN
- Squishy Pad *optional

Gripping through the hip flexors is such a common problem! They tighten and grip to hold the weight of the legs up in air. Practicing Pilates we work towards accessing our deep psoas to hold the legs up rather than our superficial hip flexors, but that takes time and lots of practice. Even when we are able to access the psoas and utilize it’s strength the hip flexors will still play a role in helping hold the legs. So, we need to stretch and lengthen after we strengthen! This video focuses on just that, stretching and lengthening the hip flexors and the psoas for better performance moving forward.

I give this workout a difficulty rating of 2 (beginner/intermediate). Overall, the video is not strenuous at all, but some of the positioning requires a bit of flexibility. The stretches are intense so you will want to be sure to use breath entering into each move.
