How to Make an Off the Shoulder Skater Dress | DIY Stretch Fabric Circle Skirt Dress

Learn how to make an
Learn how to make an off the shoulder dress with a full circle skirt in this step by step sewing tutorial with no pattern or zipper needed! This dress is made with stretch knit fabric so it's comfortable to wear and the silhouette is perfect for all figures, from petite to plus size and everyone in between.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
-2 yards of a stretchy knit fabric (FYI I’m 5’ 8” and had enough fabric to make a just above the knee dress)
-1/4 inch thick elastic – enough to wrap around your shoulders
-A well fitting shirt with sleeves to use as a template
-A small piece of sheer paper like tissue paper or tracing paper
-Ball point needle
-Basic sewing supplies – sewing machine, pins, thread, tape measure, chalk, scissors

PS: I filmed my intro footage off the NC coast! It was SUPER windy that day so I know you can hear it in the intro but I had to capture that beautiful background for a video while I was there, even though my hair and dress got super windblown… it was so windy, I had to wear shorts under the dress as a backup to avoid any embarrassing Marilyn moments LOL!
