Plyometrics AKA jump training consists of explosive movements that increase your heart rate so that you're working at a maximum intensity level.  Plyometric training can help build muscle but it is best used in combination with other dynamic workouts.  If you play a sport that consists of explosive movements, you may want to consider Plyometric Training.

IMPORTANT:  Plyometric movements should only be performed by a conditioned body as it requires intense strength, power, and high-impact movements . If you have back, knee or joint issues, you may want to get cleared by your doctor before you begin a Plyometric Program.
