Today we are making a traditional Beijing recipe - 门钉肉饼. The name 门钉means the doornail on the gate of The Imperial Palace in Beijing which refers to the shape of this beef pancake. I have no idea how to translate this in English so let me just call it doornail dumpling. It is really juicy and delicious.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE FLAVORFUL SAUCE
- 1 tbsp of oil
- 2 cloves of garlic

INGREDIENTS FOR THE FILLING
- 400 grams of ground beef (at least 15% fat)
- Aromatic water (2 pieces of garlic + 2 pieces of ginger + 1 tsp of sichuan peppercorn +1/4 cup of water, blend and strain)
