In 1956, Sylvia and Jenny Likens would find themselves in the care of Gertrude Baniszewski while their parents went away for work. At first, everything would be fine. However, Gertrude Baniszewski's jealousy of Syliva Liken's youth and beauty would ultimately result in verbal, emotional and physically torment.
Along with this, Gertrude Baniszewski would recruit her children and even kids from around the neighborhood to torment Sylvia Likens. Sylvia would eventually die from her physical injuries.
