FYI: This is only the
FYI: This is only the second half of the Balmain new collection for Spring 2022 that was shown at Paris Fashion Week for Olivier Rousteing's tenth anniversary as Balmain's creative director. I did react to the FULL show, but I lost one of the video files so my reaction to the first half of the show is incomplete. This Balmain new collection was dazzling to watch so I might figure out a way to post the other half.

It's actually incredible to see Balmain commemorate ten years with Olivier Rousteing, a Black Frenchman, with this new collection. The first half of this Balmain new collection, which felt more like a production experience, showcased more of Olivier's streetwear/sex appeal designs in cutouts, bandage dresses, and the most fabulous oversize bomber jackets I've ever seen. Olivier has certainly achieved a signature look with the house of Balmain that definitely encourages women (and men) to embrace their bodies and wear what makes them feel fierce and sexy.
Speaking of fierce and sexy, I cannot get over Beyoncé preparing such a beautiful and timely recording for this Balmain new collection! Beyoncé has worn many Balmain looks by Olivier in the past (how can we forget the iconic Beychella looks), but I was completely floored when I first saw on Instagram that she was speaking while Naomi Campbell made her illustrious grand entrance. Can you imagine?!? The energy of both Beyoncé and Naomi Campbell in one room literally makes my heart palpitate as I'm typing this.
Also, Naomi Campbell is everything. That's all. I'm leaving it there.
