Note ! Always be very careful tightening any nuts and bolts on ceramic items like the nuts on this variable capacitor I have broken these ceramic parts by over tightening them you will feel really bad when you hear that "CRACK" when the ceramic breaks OH NO ! ... SO use a very small short open end wrench commonly called ignition wrench's to tighten these and just "snug them down " then dab them with the nail polish to prevent them from backing off...They do make clear nail polish too I got some clear at the dollar store or maybe you have some of the removable type lock-tight ? .. Better still and for more breakage insurance use a Fiber washer under the nuts tighten that snug and then apply the nail polish to keep them from loosening . I have made my own fiber ( thin cardboard ) washers from a manila file folder using hole punches on a hardwood block or smooth plywood and have even cut them out with scissors and an Xacto hobby knife not so pretty but they work fine. I have also stuck the hobby knife in my finger so be careful . I Bought this older MFJ Antenna tuner on Ebay and this video shows what was done to get it operating properly and looking much better . Estimated time on this project is 18 hours working on it off and on over the last 3 weeks I took my time . 73 Bob
