How to remove volume pop up overlay FireFox Windows

Are you tired of getting the annoying media controller pop up whenever you use your keyboard shortcuts to pause, play or change the volume on FireFox in Windows, then watch this video to learn how to disable it.

Step are as follows
Open FireFox, click on the address bar and paste the address below
about:config
WARNING: Be careful not to make any other changes as they can impact FireFox performance or security.
Then, in the search, copy & paste 👉 media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled
Then change the option for 'Hardware Media Key Handling' from true to false. Finally, close the tab and restart FireFox.
Now, whenever you use the shortcut keys on your keyboard to pause/play, this media controller will not appear. However, when you use the volume keys, the volume notification will pop up.
Note - This media controller pop up is activated by individual programs. In this example, you learn how to disable it on FireFox. For other programs/apps, you'll need to follow a different procedure (if available) suitable for the given program. Unfortunately, there is no general setting in Windows to disable this media controller pop for all the programs/apps.
You can find the "notification time" (Show notifications for) setting by selecting Start - East of Access - Display - scroll down and select "Show notifications for". The default is already set to the lowest duration, ie 5 seconds.
IMPORTANT: Some users have mentioned that they had to restart their computers for it to work!
