Compared to Uganda or Rwanda, gorilla trekking in the DRC is a bargain:  $400 for regular tourists, and $200 for students ... and there will be fewer tourists on your trek.  I was impressed by these gentle giants moving quietly through the forest, snacking as they went.  To protect these endangered animals from human diseases like colds, flu and COVID, visitors must wear masks.
