Preparing For a Silent Meditation Retreat - 4 Powerful Insight
From December 30th, 2020 to January 9th, 2020 I will be attending a virtual meditation retreat from the comfort of my own home. In this video, I wanted to share 4 powerful insights I used when preparing for my first silent meditation retreat (also a virtual retreat) which I believe helped with why it turned out so well. I believe going into this 2nd meditation retreat with a similar mindset is the best possible way to orient towards retreat. I believe this is the best possible framework regardless of whether one considers themselves to be a serious or more casual meditator. As far as I'm concerned, these are the best mindsets to have while going into any meditation retreat.
I originally learned about these 4 insights from a meditation teacher named Shinzen Young. If you haven't, go check him out. Shinzen is an incredible teacher with a great, geeky personality. If you want to explore the nuances of meditation, he's one of the most high quality teachers out there.
