Jen Blackwell and DanceSyndrome Blackpool station takeover

Jen Blackwell with Mum and Dad, Sue and Malcolm talk briefly about the DanceSyndrome station takeover and the importance of people with learning disabilities being seen and heard in the community. The event was also raising important funds for the  @DanceSyndromeUK  dancers to attend the Edinburgh Fringe festival in August with their new dance SENse.

Jen was awarded the British Empire Medal in the first King's Birthday Honours list for services to disabled people.

Jen co-founded DanceSyndrome with Sue in 2009 which became a charity in 2013.

This station takeover took place at Blackpool North train station on Saturday 24th June 2023 at the end of Learning Disability Awareness week 2023
