How I Propagate My Mint Plants (The Easy & Effective Way)

Mint is one of my favorite plants to grow, and lucky for me it is one of the easiest plants to grow once you have some parent stock established. Most mint varieties are very cold hardy and can be kept in the same bed forever as a perennial. My mom has had the same spearmint growing at our home for over 15 years, and would always pick it throughout the summer to add to soups. I too have some mint that I keep outside all year round, but for the purpose of keeping my specific varieties pure I always take some cuttings and bring them inside throughout the winter. I went over how I keep my plants inside in a recent video. For todays video I wanted to explain how I personally get my mint plants started for the summer. With the small plant that I keep inside I am able to start anywhere from 15-45 new large and healthy plants in just a matter of weeks.
