For ankle 4 way theraband strengthening you want to take your theraband and hook it around the ball of your foot and also place a small towel roll underneath your lower leg. Make sure that nothing Is contacting the bottom of your heel. For the first exercise, what you are going to do, is you are going to point your foot down like you are pressing the gas pedal and hold that position for five seconds. You want to repeat this for approximately 10 - 15 times. Make sure that your foot is pointing down as straight as possible. The second position, you want to extend your other leg and hold the theraband as you are pushing out towards the theraband with your foot, you should feel this on the side of your ankle. You want to hold this position for 5 seconds and repeat it 10 - 15 times. The third position is now crossing the opposite leg over, holding the theraband, and bringing the infected foot in. You should feel this exercise on the inner part of your ankle. Again hold this for approximately 5 seconds and repeat 10 -15 times. In the last position, you may need some assistance, to hook it to some sort of table or chair. you are going to pull back against the band in a dorsiflexion and you should feel this in the front of your lower leg. Hold this for 5 seconds, and repeat 10 -15 times
