However, a lot of the issues interracial couples face are still brought on by cultural prejudice, racism, and unintentional stereotyping.
Negative stereotyping, hurtful and offensive remarks from the public, open hostility, threats, discrimination, and intimidation, as if you're not there or cannot see or hear, derogatory gestures, stares, slights, whispers, rejection from family, friends, and colleagues, or one partner being rejected by friends, family, and colleagues are challenges you as an interracial couple may experience in public or among friends and family.
