Namaste my friends, welcome to this quick sun salutation warm up.  

This salutation yoga sequence is the perfect yoga workout to do before attending a yin yoga class, attempting the splits, or simply to add a little extra heat before a vinyasa yoga flow or a power yoga class. During this sun salutation flow, we will be focusing on beginner - strong beginner yoga asana variations, so choose the variation that works for you.

During a sun salutation flow or Surya Namaskar A, we will be practising vital yoga poses which are effective in warming up the body and calming the mind.

The Yoga Asanas which make up Sun Salutation A are:
1. Standing Mountain Pose — Tadasana
2. Upward Salute — Urdhva Hastasana
3. Standing Forward Fold — Uttanasana
4. Half Standing Forward Fold — Ardha Uttanasana
5. Plank Pose - Kumbhakasana
6. Four-Limbed Staff Pose — Chaturanga Dandasana
7. Upward-Facing Dog Pose — Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, or a backbend of your choice (Baby Cobra, Full Cobra).
8. Downward-Facing Dog Pose — Adho Mukha Svanasana
