13.6 Ring Opening of Epoxides | Organic Chemistry

Chad provides a comprehensive lesson on the Ring Opening of Epoxides.  This can be done under two conditions with varying regiospecificity, and ring opening in the presence of a strong nucleophile is covered first (sometimes called base catalyzed ring opening of epoxides), while acid catalyzed ring opening of epoxides is covered second.  Chad concludes the lesson by providing an example of Grignard addition to an epoxide.
