What makes this pancake Japanese? Not a clue but this dessert has become synonymous with Japan and extremely popular on the internet. Super easy to make and nearly impossible to mess up.

Recipe:
2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp white sugar
pinch of salt
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk (2%)
Directions:
- Whisk the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar together
- Beat the eggs. Add the milk and whisk to combine
- Whisk the liquids into the dry ingredients.
- Pour into your rice cooker and cook until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. May need 2 cooks depending on the size of your rice cooker.
- Done. Top with syrup and butter and call it a day.
