This video is a preview from the Global Methods, Applications, and Perspectives training series in Auricular Acupuncture. This presentation of theory and clinical experience is intended for educational purposes only, not for diagnosis or treatment.
SUMMARY: The convergence of research in neuroanatomy, clinical practices in Auriculotherapy and Auricular Medicine, and a renewed global interest in traditional cultures and healing practices, suggest that Point Zero (an auricular acupoint) is a point of confluence for many approaches in ear acupuncture.
In this extended video on the subject (11 minutes), Dr. Jacqueline Adler, MD, a medical educator and board member representing the Auricular Certification Institute (ACI), and clinical faculty at Emperor’s College of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture in Santa Monica, discusses her renewed respect for Point Zero — used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to treat weakness of the Middle Burner, or Qi (functional) stagnation between the upper and lower body.
