Financiers/ French almond cake/ French Pastry/ Browned Butter cakes Financiers/ French financiers are small almond cakes which are flavored with a beurre noisette/ hazelnut butter (  butter cooked until golden brown ) and topped up with Almond flakes or any nuts or fruits. Ingredients: Butter- 1/2 cup (110 g) Almond flour-110 g (1 cup) Icing sugar/ Powdered sugar -3/4 cup ( 100 g) Plain flour/ All purpose flour-1/ cup ( 30 g) Egg whites-3 Salt- a pinch Vanilla essence/ Lemon Zest -1/2 teaspoon Butter for greasing the pan Baking: Bake in a preheated oven ( Preheat the oven at 180C  for 10 minute) at 180C for 15-20 minutes. Please note that baking times can vary based on how thick the financiers as well as your Oven. Note: You can refrigerate the batter for 40-60 minutes for the right texture. But If you want , you can skip the step.
