Why I Don't Buy Refurbished Phones Ebay/Amazon? Battery Health a big Question? Returning is a PAIN!?

Title says it all.

I don't really like buying refurbished phones on ebay nor amazon.
Why?  Because to me it feels like a big mystery box.

1.  The battery health on refurbished phones may not be great.
2.  You don't know the quality of the phone really.. some are refurbished but with scratches and nicks!?  I've bought ebay and amazon with similar results.
3.  Returning a phone with online vendors are a pain sometimes...
