Worlds Best Softball Practice Plan:
Worlds Best Softball Practice Plan: This is a practice plan that gets all your players working on developing their fielding, catching fly balls, hitting, bunting and pitchers and catchers getting their reps in, all at the same time.

Setup of Drill: Setup one bow net and a throw down home plate on the 1st base foul side of the diamond and the other bow net and throw down home plate on the 3rd base foul side of the diamond. Have one coach throwing soft toss to the batter at home plate, using the pitching net. One coach in the outfield, at the left foul line ready to hit fly balls to the outfield. Another coach on the 3rd base line also hitting balls to the infield. If you have extra coaches or helpers, place them on the right field infield and outfield as well.

Step 1: Have one player go to bat. Place a player on every position and have your pitchers and catchers warming up behind the bow nets. Have the pitchers go through their progression, till full pitch and then have them work on hitting there location, different pitches.

Step 2: Player up to bat, gets to hit 10 pitches. Every time a ball is hit into play, make the play to first or if hit in the outfield, throw into cut off going into 2nd base. When a ball is hit into play, the infield coach will hit another ball to a player that wasn’t involved in the last play. At the same time. The outfield coach will hit a fly ball to another player who hasn’t made a play as well.

So when the ball is hit by the player at bat, following that play, an infield coach will hit to an infielder to make a play to 1st base and outfield coach will hit a fly ball to an outfielder as well who will then throw back to the outfield coach. This keeps everyone engaged and not waiting for a ball to get hit to them.

Step 3: After 10 soft toss pitches, the batter will now get 3 additional pitches, that the batter will need to bunt. First pitch bunt down 1st base, 2nd pitch - bunt down 3rd base and last bunt, batter can bunt where ever they want, that 3rd ball becomes live and batter has to run and be played by the infield.

That batter is now done their “At Bat” and will go to Right Field.*
Step 4: Right Fielder will move to Center Field, Center Field will move to Left Field, Left Field will move to 1st base, 1st base will move to 2nd base, 2nd base will move to Short Stop, Short Stop will move to 3rd base and 3rd base will now go in to bat. When pitchers & catchers are done, they can go into the field or go up to bat. Worlds Best Practice plan is done when every player has gone up to bat.
