Southampton's abandoned canal

Southampton used to have a canal running from the old walls area, under Marlands and along the coast to Redbridge wharf. In this film we look at what remains of the canal, the route it took and a little of the history behind it.
We have sourced some photo's of the canal tunnel that were taken in the early 1970's to investigate major subsidence that haven't been seen for many years!
