Here is a wonderful yoga move that has been proven to aid in toning and strengthening the pelvic floor and abs (the core) after giving birth. Research using 21 postpartum (post-natal) women has shown that putting three separate moves together - engaging the hip adductors, pelvic floor and abdominal muscles - is more effective than Kegels! So if you would like to tone your core, then this is the yoga exercise for you!

You don't need to have recently had a baby to use this research-baked 3-in-1 exercise for the pelvic floor, this move will be really helpful for anyone - especially if you are suffering from a weak pelvic floor, separated abs (diastasis recti), incontinence, pelvic floor prolapse. This video is for women (and men) who need to tone and strengthen their pelvic floor.

Here's the research that this 3-in-1 core exercise is championed by: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35248...

This video was very much inspired by the channel Dr Bri's Vibrant Pelvic Health (Dr Brianna). Here is her channel for you to check her out: https://www.seevid.ir/c/VibrantPelvi...
When I first saw her video about this 3-in-1 move I was struck by the simplicity yet effectiveness of the move and also by how much I have used this simple exercise in my own healing. I hadn't really thought about it as a 'three in one' move before, but when you break it down it is clear that there are three separate parts of the body being engaged at the same time. Research shows that the effectiveness is related to each separate muscle group being engaged at the same time!

Joy Prater, from Yoga With Joy, offers this free online yoga class as real yoga for beginners and pure yoga. Joy is a trained yoga therapist so her focus is yoga therapy, otherwise known as therapeutic yoga. This channel is all about abdominal pelvic health and conscious core exercises. This includes yoga for pelvic core health, yoga for pelvic core stability, and yoga for after abdominal recovery. This could be called womb yoga. In quite a few of the videos, the emphasis is on yoga for trusting your body after surgery and yoga for trusting your body after abdominal pelvic damage. This specific video is all about research-backed 3-in-1 exercise for the pelvic floor. I found the information for this on another channel and I'd like to say: thank you Dr Bri's vibrant pelvic health for this info. It really is the best move for strengthening the pelvic floor, better than kegels alone. As I said, this Research-Backed 3-in-1 Move that's BETTER than Kegels! These are prolapse-friendly exercises, which are safe for prolapse. This is an exercise that helps with prolapse and heals prolapse.
