Greeting, guys!
I would like to share with you how to Test Engine temperature sensor on your vehicle. If your vehicle has P0115 trouble code: Engine Temperature Circuit Malfunctioning, that is most likely the problem with a collant temperature sensor or wiring down to the sensor. ECM reads input below or above the range 0.14-4.91 V (-40 to 140 C).
This short complete tutorial cover all aspects of testing the ECT sensor as:
1. Test ECT sensor to Ground.
2. Test ECT sensor to open reference voltage.
3. Test ECT signal (performance test).
4. Internal resistance test.
5. Continuity test.
