Welcome to LUNG LAB. This will be a series that dives into the use of IPV technology for its use patients suffering from COPD: Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Atelectasis, Barotrauma, Pneumonia, Alpha-1, SMA, Immature Lungs, ALS, Bronchitis including it highly effective ability to wash out co2 for patients with compounded effects of respiratory acidosis.
The IPV 2C has added advantage over the IPV 1C by adding the demand CPAP which is a hybrid featuring of traditional PEEP for lung recruitment and by aiding in work of breathing and weaning.
The study of intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, Intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, Intra Pulmonary Percussive ventilation, IPV, IPV2c, is a Percussionair product. This is a mode of ventilation categorized as a High-Frequency percussive ventilator. There are many types of High-Frequency ventilators but they achieve their ventilation by using different forms of physics. Please keep that in mind the ability for this device to function is because of the unique design that utilizes a dynamic venturi by operating in conjunction with the Bernoulli effect.
