Introduction to IPV - Lung Lab

Welcome to LUNG LAB. This will be a series that dives into how IPV therapy achieves its results for its use patients suffering from COPD: Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Atelectasis, Barotrauma, Pneumonia, Alpha-1, SMA, Immature Lungs, ALS, Bronchitis including it highly effective ability to wash out co2 for patients with compounded effects of respiratory acidosis.

This is a mode of ventilation categorized as a High-Frequency Percussive Ventilation. There are many types of High-Frequency ventilators but they all achieve their ventilation in different manners. This is done by the ability of this device unique design that utilizes a dynamic sliding venturi operating in conjunction with the Bernoulli effect.
