Are you looking for an intense workout that you can do at home, and in little time? Good news, I have a great HIIT workout for you guys, especially you beginners out there. This workout is great because it only takes 10 minutes, you can do it at home, and it is going to help you build muscle and burn fat at the same time. Steady-state cardio is not the best way to burn fat and get in shape in a short time frame. Do these high intensity workouts with a sprinter mentality, and you will get in great shape. This workout consists of 5 different exercises, in a circuit-style workout. I want you to do 10 reps of each exercise, and at the end of the 5 exercises rest for 1-2 minutes. I want you to do a total of 3 total circuits in this Hiit workout for beginners. Let’s get started with the exercises in this high intensity workout.

Exercise #1: THRUSTER. This is a squat with an overhead press. If you are using dumbbells, keep the dumbbells at your shoulders when you squat. As you go up, explode and push the dumbbells up above your head.

Exercise #2: BICYCLE CROSS-CRUNCH. This exercise is going to be focusing on our core. I want you to do 10 reps on each side for this exercise. Put your fingers to the side of your head, and you are going to touch your elbow to your opposite knee.

Exercise #3: TWO ARM DUMBBELL CURLS. I want you to do both arms at the same time. At the bottom of the movement, have your palms facing your legs. Rotate the dumbbells so they are parallel to the ground, as you are bringing the dumbbells up.

Exercise #4: BODYWEIGHT PUSH UPS. Do standard push ups if you can. If you are a beginner, that may be a little difficult for you. It is okay to do knee push ups for the remaining reps, the goal is to finish and do the full 10 reps.

Exercise #5: KNEES TO ELBOWS. This is similar to the bicycle cross-crunch, except you are going to be standing. Make sure that you are really squeezing your core, as you crunch down to touch your elbows to your opposite knees.
