There is one thing that all ripped men over 50 have in common. In today’s video, I’ll tell you exactly what that is.

The one thing all ripped men over 50 have in common is consistency. Another way of saying it is, they have discipline. This is different from motivation! You can’t always be motivated, but you can be disciplined and consistent. But if that was easy… everyone would be doing it. Here are some tips that help me.

Tip #1: DEVELOP A “LIFESTYLE” MENTALITY. You aren’t training just to lose weight before summer. It’s a lifestyle. It’s something you do daily just like brushing your teeth and taking a shower. Same goes for avoiding the crap food on a daily basis. You don’t have to be perfect with your nutrition, but you have to make the right choices the majority of the time.

Tip #2: YOU NEED TO HAVE A PLAN. You need to follow a professional workout program. It will serve as a pseudo trainer to keep you consistent and accountable. If you are winging it, you will always have an easy excuse to skip your workout. Same goes with your nutrition. If you meal prep the same day each week, it will keep your nutrition far more consistent. Planning nutrition also includes knowing what to order (or avoid) when you go out.

Tip #3: DISCOVER WHAT MOTIVATES YOU. If it’s watching training videos from time to time, being in a facebook group with like-minded people, getting a workout partner, or even just being able to turn up the music and lift some weight as a type of mental therapy. Is there a goal you work towards? Try to beat your previous self during the next go around on Fit After 50.
