Force on current carrying wire in a magnetic field #1 (NCPQ)

This demonstration consists of a wire (or more correctly a lightweight aluminium tube) suspended between the poles of a horseshoe magnet. When a current passes through the wire a deflection is noted depending on which way the charge flows. Fleming's left hand rule can be used to verify the direction.
