Our editors Alex Michael and Katelyn discuss what may have taken place with Fiona O'Keeffe, Team USA's top marathoner in the field at the 2024 Summer Games. According to various reports and social video clips, O'Keeffe was hobbling from virtually the start of the race, running slowly and in last place, before ultimately stepping off the course after just a couple of kilometers. She's since been criticized for starting a marathon she surely couldn't finish, taking a spot on the Olympic team that could have gone to an alternate. That replacement runner, Jess McLain, was in Paris at the request of USATF.
