Spoilers to 12x06. ALL CLIPS BELONG TO THE CW. The song is named Arctic and belongs to Sleeping At Last.
Okay, so this is me trying something new. I've never done a voiceover only video. So I have no idea whether this turned out okay or not. But I DO know that I'll never grow as a video editor if I stick to the same things every time. unfortunately lol. Honestly though this was really exciting and emotional to make.
I wanted to show the inevitability of all of this. Cycles and cycles and cycles of hunting, and losing, and death. But always rebirth too. Life. Only to lose everything again. Lucifer's words in 5x04 are some of my favorite in spn: "Whatever you do, you will always end up here. Whatever choices you make, whatever details you alter, we will always end up -- here." John sacrificed himself for Dean, only for Dean to do the same for Sam. Dean went to hell for Sam, only for Sam to eventually end up there himself. Mary died, starting everything, only to come back. It's all very circular. That's what makes this show so great for meta analyzation. It has so much symbolism and so many patterns.
At the end of 12x06, we see Mary, Sam, and Dean walking away, which pans to a burning pyre of three dead bodies. I ended my video there because, well, I think that says the most.
It's never gonna be over -- until it's OVER.
