How to quickly decode &
How to quickly decode & open a standard 1500D Master Lock dial combination padlock (eg if you've lost your combination code) using no math! Note: see next video for an alternative method for finding the 1st number: (Picking 93) How to crack a "Sphero" ...
Note that this method only works on Master locks of this type. This one is anti-shim and has "gates" or "gaps".
Method:
All 3 numbers are needed to open the lock. In this video, I found the 3rd number first (15) and then the 1st number second (19). Then I used a special method to speed up the decoding time ... I dialed in the 1st number, and then tried lots of 2nd numbers (two at a time) and back to the 3rd number (each time) to see if the lock opened. I didn't have to dial in the 1st number again, but only nudged the 2nd number along in each test.
I mean I could have done it the slow way and done:
Three times to the right to reset, 19-21-15, test shackle,
Three times to the right to reset, 19-23-15, test shackle,
Three times to the right to reset, 19-25-15, test shackle,
Three times to the right to reset, 19-27-15, test shackle,
etc
... but that way is slow.
Instead I did:
Three times to the right to reset, 19-21-15, test shackle,
then:
...23-15, test shackle,
...25-15, test shackle,
...27-15, test shackle,
etc
