Getting Started: Rotor Lateral Runout

This is a new series we're calling, Getting Started. This is intended for our first semester students who come with a wide range of experiences. The topic today, measuring the lateral runout of a disc brake rotor. Getting aquatinted with small numbers in the 0.001" of an inch, and using precision equipment is a necessity for automotive technicians. This video aims to introduce the concept of a "snake" style dial indicator to measure the lateral runout of a disc brake rotor.
