Best places in Europe for solo travelers on a budget! 💸 PART 2

I went finally went to Sarajevo! What a city this is… A beautiful city with deep scars and a complex history, but also with beautiful architecture and incredibly kind people!

I had some help from my friends at @meetbosniatours ! They showed me around the entire country even, not just Sarajevo. If you’re ever in Bosnia & Herzegovina make sure to hit them up!

They’re very affordable as well! I went on a day tour to 5 cities with a mini van and a fantastic guide and it was only €65! Insane deal…

In Sarajevo I joined the free walking tour and the ‘siege of Sarajevo’ tour. During the walking tour the guide talked about the entire history of the city. My highlight was seeing the exact spot from which Gavrilo Princip assassinated Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the Austrian-Hungarian throne.

However, the siege of Sarajevo tour made the biggest impact on me. Mainly because my tour guide @alan_tourguide lived in Sarajevo during that time and his stories made an ever lasting impression on me.

Traveling taught me to be grateful for where I was born and what time I was born in and after hearing these kind of stories I can confidently say I have nothing to complain about.

But enough about me 😁 Sarajevo is super interesting, super kind and safe to solo travelers and very cheap!
