HBO has partnered with Academy Award-winning writer Steven Zaillian to create The Night Of, a gritty crime drama starring John Turturro and Riz Ahmed, and based on the British series Criminal Justice. This eight-part story follows the intricate story of a fictitious murder case in New York City, and the ensuing police investigation and legal proceedings. The session will kick off with a screening of a section of the first episode, followed by conversation between Antholis (President of HBO Miniseries and Cinemax Programming) and Zaillian, where they will look at the process of bringing the script to screen and the relevance of the Limited Series Model in telling this story.
