This is what plastic producers DON’T want you to see. Bali’s plastic problem is getting out of control.
In December 2018, Bali Governor Wayan Koster made a law to ban businesses from using plastic bags, straws, and styrofoam. On June 23, 2019, six months later, the ban became ACTIVE. This was a huge step for this major tourist destination. Congratulations Bali!!
Thank you to all NGO's, community, local movements, groups, individuals, and businesses who have made this possible.
The plastic we "throw away" is not biodegrading, and we are using it in mass quantities across the world. Plastic waste is literally everywhere.
