Batti is very tasty  dish in Maharashra.
It is mostly enjoyed in Marathi month 'Shravan'
It is mostly famous in Khandesh and vidarbh region of Maharashtra.
There are verious types of recipes for these batti like fried batti, tandur batti,
In this video I am sharing simple recipe of ghadichi batti i.e layered bati prepared in a pan.
and enjoyed with plan dal (varan),birijal subji and aamsul kadhi
or you can enjoy crushed batti with jaggery and ghee it is known as churma.
So try this..

You can also try mashed brinjal subji
i.e  ghotaleli vangyachi bhaji with this.

Ingredients:

. 3 cup coarse wheat flour

. 1 tsp carom seeds

. 2-3 tbsp oil

. 3-4 tbsp pure ghee

. 1 tbsp salt

.  water as per requirement

Method:

. Take wheat flour in a big bowl or
   plate,add salt and carom seeds.

. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a tdaka pan and
  pour it on wheat flour,add
  1&1/2 cup water in hot tdaka
   pan,The water will warm,add this
   warm water to wheat flour.

. Mix it with spoon first, when it
  becomes little cool mix it properly
  with palms to avoid lumps.

. Add required water and knead little
   hard dough.

. When dough will ready ,cover it
  and allow to rest it for 10 minutes.

. After 10 minutes knead the dough
  again.

. Take some portion of dough in
   palm and flatten it.

.  Sprinkle some wheat flour on
   flatten dough and roll a thin round
   shape chapati.

.  Grease little oil on surface of round
   chapati and sprinkle little
   wheat flour on it.

.  Fold the round from center to make
   half shape.

.  Grease little oil and sprinkle wheat
   flour on folded half,again fold
   it to make quarter shape.

.  Fold 3 corners of this quarter and
   make it round like laddu.

. Prepare all batis in same way..

. Heat pure ghee in a thick pan,
  add 3-4 bati at a time and shallow
  fry it till turns brown on medium
  flame.

. Transfer shallow fried bati in
   plate,and shallow fry remaining bati
  same way..

. When all bati shallow fried,Again
   transfer it in a pan.

. Now it is most important step,
  roast bati on low flame for 10-15
  minutes.

. Keep turning side  while roasting.

. When bati get properly roast and
  cracked it is ready.

. You can cut and verify inside of bati.

. Enjoy hot bati with dal.

Tip :
. Always use coarse wheat flour for
  bati

. Always roast bati on low flame
