Moong Dal Barfi or split yellow lentils barfi is a real yummy, delectable and creamy fudge which gives a heavenly feeling when goes inside the mouth. As we all know moong daal is the most affordable, easily available and one of the main source of protein in our daily diet, so why not make a twist out of it and introduce our salivary glands and sweet tooth to a new kind of #dessert which is very simple yet very very tasty and it surely can win our heart.
So let’s check out the recipe with me #chefAjayChopra.

Ingredients:
1 cup Moong Daal – Grinded into fine powder
1 cup Ghee / Clarified Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 tspn Cardamom Powder
1 cup Khoya
½ cup Pistachios – blanched
Silver varq to garnish

Method:
Take a pan, put ghee and then add moong daal flour into it, Stir fry both the ingredients together till its golden brown in colour. Once it reaches its desired texture, turn off the flame. Stir continuously at this stage and allow it to cool for a while. Then add sugar and cardamom powder. Once the sugar melts in the mixture add khoya and mix everything well together. After few minutes you will notice the khoya melts in the mixture and the whole preparation is ready. Now take a rectangular tray, grease it with ghee and put the moong daal mixture into it. Press and set it so that it takes the shape of the tray. Put pistachios on top of it and Silver varq to garnish. Now refrigerate it till it’s completely set and done. After few hours take out the tray from refrigerator, cut it into square pieces and then serve. Enjoy!
