The importance of pulses is quiet underrated. There are many reasons to make pulses a part of your diet. Not only do pulses offer innumerable health benefits but they have many ecological benefits too.
2016 was the ‘International Year of Pulses’ which further inspired an interest in the many benefits of growing and eating pulses. In this video I give you 4 reasons to eat pulses-

1) Pulses are nutritious
2) Pulses have a long shelf life and they are affordable
3) Sustainability and soil fertility
4) Food security at multiple levels
Pulses are not only very affordable, but they are only grains that can make the obese thin, provide nutrition to the under-nourished, and encourage the farmers to grow more pulses, which will in turn enrich the soil.
