Senior Advocate Sidharth Luthra thinks that there should be a creation of an "intermediary" court between the High Courts & Supreme Court. This comes after the Law Ministry accepted the recommendation of the Parliamentary Committee to establish regional benches of the Supreme Court. The Committee decided not to pursue its earlier suggestions regarding the potential increase in the retirement age of High Court and Supreme Court judges, as well as the appointment of judges to fill vacancies in the higher judiciary.
