The third episode of Bali travel diary, today we will head north to Bali Island to visit Mother Besakih Temple
Planning to eat breakfast at the hotel was broken again because Khoai woke up too late, not to mention today having a haircut  ... So the best option is to have breakfast and lunch together.
Today Khoai selects a special restaurant, in addition to selling traditional Balinese dishes, the restaurant also has a charity, health and education fund for disadvantaged people.
The most popular dish here is ripe papaya salad and Tempe orange sauce. Ripe papaya salad is a dish reminiscent of the homeland of the West, in the West, it is common to eat ripe fruit with rice, ...
Referring to Tempe, fermented soybeans are very popular in Indonesia and Malaysia. Tempe has a more textured texture than tofu, it will have a distinct fermentation smell, so it will be a bit difficult to eat with those who have just tried it for the first time.
Restaurant Address: Fair Warung Bale, Jl. Sri Wedari No.6, Taman Kaja, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia
After cutting the hair, Khoai runs up to Rendang to visit the temple of Besakih, where people can see the Agung volcano from afar. The scenery along the way was very interesting, the trees were green, the people sell local specialties along the road. This season has a lot of Salcca fruit ( salak in Thai Lan). Cheap but delicious, Salak in Indonesia tastes a lot different from Thai Salak, the flavor is more crispy, sweeter and a lighter aroma (the smell of ripe guava combined with ripe mangoes, haha is hard to describe)
Besakih Temple is the oldest, largest and most sacred temple in Bali, so it is also called Mother Temple, located at the foot of the Agung volcano - an active mountain. The temple is a complex consisting of 23 towers, worshiping the gods in Balinese religious beliefs. People here believe that, if there are sickness, unfortunate things, ... you go to the temple to worship and ask for luck from the gods, everything will become better.
One thing to note: during the ceremony, only religious people can enter. The instructors will make me tip a lot of money so depending on the ability, I will tip more or less, don't listen 100% according to their words, because they will ask for a lot of money.
Ticket price for IDR 60,000 (~ 100,000 VND), including guide, sarong, and 1-way motorbike.
